Zoning Officer

Technicon Enterprises Inc. II is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Zoning Officer. The Zoning Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and codes, as well as facilitating the development and implementation of zoning policies.  Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Public Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.  Minimum of 2 years of experience in zoning, land use planning, or a related field.  Strong understanding of zoning laws, regulations, and procedures. Municipal Engineer

Technicon Enterprises II, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities a Civil Engineer include:

    1. Manage capital municipal civil design projects from start to finish, technical review of drawings & calculations, and finalizing drawings.
    2. Knowledge of site civil design, subdivision and land development, including infrastructure improvements, grading, stormwater management, E&S control, utilities, and permit applications.
    3. Review of subdivision, stormwater management and land development project submitted to the municipal client and consult municipal Planning Commission and Governing Body through approval process to ensure compliance with local regulations.
    4. Conduct engineering construction inspections of all subdivision and land development projects to ensure consistency with approved plan.
    5. Respond to resident complaints/concerns in areas of municipal engineering when requested by the municipal client.
    6. Provide MS4 Permit compliance assistance and prepare annual report to comply with parameters of the PADEP NPDES permit.

    Education and Experience:

      1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar engineering based) Required
      2. E.I.T. And/or P.E. highly preferred, but not required
      3. Minimum 2-5 years experience in civil design and land development including residential & commercial projects preferred, but not required
      4. Experience with AutoCAD, HydroCAD, HydroFlow, and any other engineering software programs preferred
      5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    UCC Commercial Building Inspector 

    Responsibilities of a Residential & Commercial Building Inspector include:

    • Conduct residential/commercial building inspections of permitted projects to ensure compliance with the Uniform Construction Code (UCC)
    • Prepare written inspection reports and provide deficiencies to contractor for corrections needed
    • Attend any required pre-construction or construction progress meetings requested by contractor
    • Possess and maintain UCC certifications to perform applicable inspections for residential or commercial projects
    • As applicable based on certifications possessed, review of residential and commercial building plans and issuance of building permits

    Education and Experience of a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector include:

    • Electrical certification preferred
    • PA UCC (Uniform Construction Code) knowledge and experience
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree, high school diploma or GED required
    • Valid PA driver’s license required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Physical Requirements of a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector include:

    • Ability to navigate construction sites and buildings, climbing ladders, crawling through tight spaces, navigating uneven terrain. physically demanding and require inspectors to spend extended periods on their feet and moving throughout the day.
    • Ability to inspect structural components, systems, and finishes of a building. This includes the ability to identify defects, code violations, and safety hazards.
